In April 2021, I received a pair of Puma Velocity NITRO shoes to test out. In addition, they sent me a cool carry sack to use. Being selected to review these was a surprise and I couldn’t wait to test them out. I took them for short 1 mile runs up to 5 mile runs in both dry and wet road conditions. First some facts from the PUMA website!

PROS: The shoe is very lightweight and bouncy feeling, especially compared to the running shoes I have been wearing. That was something to get used to as I tried these out. The color of orange really popped out to me and I liked the reflective components. Two aspects that made me feel that I was more seen during runs. The toe box was wide enough for my feet to feel comfortable.
CONS: This is more of a neutral shoe so if you are looking for a high support, this is not a good option for you. Due to the fact my feet tend to rotate inwards, I need something with more support than these offered. Although the toe box was wide enough, there was a part that pushed down on my big toe that I just couldn’t seem to adjust.
Overall, I use these more when biking than running due to the support level. I do like the lightweight feel as well as the color. I am happy I had the opportunity to test these out to learn more about the PUMA brand.
